Directions that are interconnected.
HOW?
Grief and loss begin with a certain event — traumatic, stressful, or both — after which life takes on new features, emotions, experiences, and events. In any case, everything changes. If circumstances develop in such a way that grief and loss remain unprocessed, they can lead to further difficulties, such as depression. At the early stages, there are specially trained professionals who help people cope with these conditions, and my profession as a grief-informed specialist and loss doula is among the first to provide such support. Therefore, I am one of the first to be involved at the initial stage of healing.People who have experienced grief and loss show different reactions, and on a physical level, sleep is often the first to be affected. As a sleep consultant, I can monitor this aspect and, if necessary, further explore and support the process of changes in sleep patterns.
As a Sleep Consultant, I work with those who struggle with insomnia, frequent night awakenings, early morning waking, nightmares, and other sleep difficulties. I support individuals aged 16 and older, helping them restore a sense of rest and safety in their nights.
As a Grief-Informed Specialist, I walk alongside those who are living through grief and loss. I work with individuals aged 12 and older.
As a Death Doula, I offer presence and support around the themes of death and dying , without age limitations. I hold these areas separately within the time of our private sessions, depending on your specific needs and request.
I support the philosophy of healthy, natural sleep.
“I don’t sleep well” — this is the phrase that most often begins our conversation. Today, the World Health Organization recognizes sleep disorders as a disease of modern civilization. They are no longer seen as just symptoms, but as independent conditions that require attention and care.
In 2023, I began deeply exploring the topic of sleep, and at the end of 2024, I became a certified Sleep Consultant. I am also an active member of the Institute of Sleep Disorders and Psychotrauma (ISDPT).
I invite you to explore this important part of life together with me through my social media links. You are also welcome to attend my educational lectures as a listener. If you are experiencing sleep difficulties, you are warmly welcome to book a consultation.I will help you restore your sleep and reconnect with your body’s natural rhythm — the one that may have been lost along the way.
After a loss, a person is never the same as before. There is a moment of transition — from a life that was, to a life that is yet to unfold. This space, this process of grief, needs support. This support can be given by me as a Loss Doula. Support and accompaniment are key elements in my work. There is no teaching, no fixing, no pressure, no rigid protocols.Only support. Only being near you.
A doula is present in the process of dying, in grief, and in open conversations about life and death. This means that as a doula, I will accompany you through this difficult period.
I will not show you the way — but I will walk beside you. I will be someone you can lean on, at any moment, as you continue forward.
This is a natural continuation of my work as a Loss Doula — a deeper layer of education.
It is about recognizing and holding the inner processes that unfold within a person experiencing grief.
As a Grief-Informed Specialist, I support those who are in grief. I help to move through grief without becoming overwhelmed by trauma and gently adapting to a new reality shaped by their experience.
Me as a Loss Doula (Death Doula) and Grief-Informed Specialist
I support the idea of continuing bonds with those who have passed. I gently allow space for memories, thoughts, and needs.
Within this approach, I also assist with creating:
• memory projects for those who are dying or have passed
• grief projects
• rituals
• scenarios for dying and farewell
My name is Iryna, and I am from Ukraine. Since 2022, I have been living in the Netherlands. In 2023, I began deeply exploring the topic of sleep, and by the end of 2024, I became a certified Sleep Consultant. I am also an active member of the Institute of Sleep Disorders and Psychotrauma. In 2025, I expanded my professional path by becoming a Loss Doula and a Grief-Informed Specialist. Currently, I continue my studies, pursuing a Master’s degree in Psychology. And this is not the end of my journey — it is not paused, and it has no final point. It is a path that continues to grow with me.
These three focused areas of my work — sleep, grief, and loss — are deeply interconnected and belong to the field of mental health. For me, it is never about “a person with symptoms,” but about the person as a whole. To support someone through difficult life experiences is not just about listening or asking questions. It is deep, attentive, and responsible work. It is a space where the mind is active, the body responds, and emotions rise — and together, we learn to notice and understand what the body, mind, and soul are trying to express. The connection between me and the person who seeks support is essential. This relationship — the alliance between specialist and client — is already part of the healing process. If there is a connection, then it is already part of the work, our joint work, done. Research shows that 20–40% of therapeutic progress comes from this connection alone. There is a saying that a person heals through another person. And I would add: a person can also be hurt through another person. That is why, after loss and grief, it is so important to be heard, witnessed, and accepted. A person is not meant to go through grief alone — especially when it becomes complicated or is accompanied by other challenges or conditions. A person needs another person.
How did I come to these professions? At one point in my life, while creating art with epoxy resin — something that still inspires me — I realized that I wanted to find my true place in this world and not just be a general psychologist or choose some specific niche. My life has been filled with different experiences — in childhood, adolescence, and adulthood. These experiences shaped me in such a way that I could not choose just one narrow direction. I see life more broadly and more deeply. Each of my professions reflects a part of this understanding:• The Doula — as a guide at the end of life and through experiences of loss • The Grief-Informed Specialist — where the name itself speaks for itself about the relevant part of life• The Sleep Consultant — is a deep dive into sleep as a process where the answer to “why am I not sleeping?” is sought. Through my own experience, I know that resilience psychology and logotherapy truly work. That is why I continue learning, combining personal experience with research, science, and academic knowledge as I pursue my Master’s degree.
This website is also a personal space, and here I have chosen to leave a part of my previous life - my personal project — a mattress selection guide called “Recommended with Declared Value.” This is my lifetime memory project. You will be able to find it below. In it, I share my knowledge and experience from 13 years of entrepreneurship in the field of mattresses, furniture, and related products. It includes video lessons, a presentation, and two bonus materials about mattress fillings and checklist of its protection.
Through studying molecular biology, neurobiology, the basics of medicine, psychology, meditation, and breathing practices, I see the world more broadly. I find the connections between these fields — and through this, I help people rediscover something very simple and very important - the inner instruction of the body — the one we were given at birth, but never taught how to read.
